Program Coordinator Job Description:

The Program Coordinator is the energy of camp! All camp activities will be implemented by the Program Coordinator with the help of camp staff: Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Archery, Hatchet Throwing, Teambuilding, Ukulele, etc. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Camp Director to create innovative program choices for camper activity sign-up and throughout the week of camp.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Desire and ability to work with children outdoors in a rustic environment 6 days a week
• Encourage physical, emotional, and spiritual growth, and positive character development of campers and staff
• Must have previous summer camp leadership experience
• Able to lead small (5-15) and large (30-100) groups in programs and team building activities
• Good character, integrity, maturity, sound judgement, and adaptability
• Willing and able to live within a close, Episcopal camp community
• High energy, enthusiasm, patience, and self-control for working with youth
• Model camp policies (functional clothing for active work, dry and tobacco free camp during youth camps, etc)
• At least 19 years of age

Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing and supervising camp programs - On & Off camp
• Participates in planning staff training and helps to implement and lead portions
• Support Counselors and Support Staff in their chosen program areas and exercise visible leadership
• Keep inventory of all program equipment throughout the summer
• Make all daily announcements, mail call, and keep camp running on a timely schedule
• Know and implement emergency procedures as needed and participate in mandatory drills
• Inform Assistant Camp Director of any camper or staff problems, concerns, or issues
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Information: $ per week (starting wage; meals & lodging included)
