Our next Fire Protection Service Technician will work closely with our service manager to perform a variety of fire protection services, including installations, inspections, programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Location: Greater Denver area, overnight travel may be required on occasion.

Starting Pay: Up to $35 an hour (depending on licensure and experience)

Schedule: Monday- Friday, on-call on a rotational basis (paid)

Responsibilities of the job

• Perform a variety of fire protection services, including installations, inspections, programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Ensure that systems meet local, county, state and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements.
• Fulfilling customer contract requirements and meeting deadlines.
• Deliver product familiarization training to end-users.
• Other duties as needed

The Successful Candidate will have:

• 5 years of experience in Fire Protection Services
• Complete understanding of inspection and testing of Sprinkler and/or Fire Alarm systems per NFPA
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
• Willing to learn new job-related skills and/or update skill sets
• High degree of safety awareness

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, or trenches
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds
• Ability to safely climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs

Other Important Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Valid state issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• City and County of Denver Fire Safety Systems License or BlueCard (or the ability to obtain if hired)
• Fire Protection NICET certification (or the ability to obtain if hired)
• Backflow Certification
• Fire Extinguisher Licenses/Certification
