We are working with a premier home builder who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all estimates align with the company's quality standards and budgetary goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for new residential construction projects, remodels, and other housing-related ventures.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other related documents to determine scope and identify potential cost impacts.
  • Conduct material take-offs, labor cost analysis, and subcontractor bid evaluations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive estimates.
  • Monitor and maintain a database of cost information for materials, labor, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Prepare bid packages and submit detailed proposals for review and approval.
  • Ensure all estimates align with local building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide input on budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures and value engineering in project planning and execution.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new construction technologies to improve estimating accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
