Caruso Construction is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Scottsdale, AZ

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction plans, preparing estimates, and managing costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.

Estimates

  • Reviews specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope.
  • Previews design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials.

Administrative

  • Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current/accurate information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures and price lists.
  • Monitors computer estimating database and presents any proposed changes to the Chief Estimator.

Sales/Marketing

  • Support business development through customer service, lead generation, presentations, community activities and/or service organizations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports other department personnel, as required. Duties may include preparing estimates in other disciplines.
  • Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years estimating, controls, and/or engineering experience or an equivalent combination of related work experience, training and/or education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of discipline, estimating techniques, and cost control.
  • Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
