Overview

The Data Analyst Intern will assist with maintaining the integrity, validity, and functionality of data for the Transportation group. This internship offers the opportunity to develop an understanding of business processes, goals, and strategies to provide analytics and data interpretation with a goal of process improvement, risk management, and profit optimization management. 

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project electronic files & control project documentation.
• Data Gathering: extract data from various public documents.
• Database Construction and Maintenance: Support in the creation and upkeep of databases, data organization and management.
• Contribute to the enhancement and upkeep of Power BI dashboards.
• Build and analyze data to support strategic planning, financial performance (profit/cost), project budget analysis, risk management and proposals.
• Build reports & analyze data to track and monitor operational metrics.
• Perform strategic data and trend analysis and research to support business needs, as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or pursuing a graduate degree in an analytics-related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, VBA, Python, SQL.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Prior internship experience or coursework related to data analysis is preferred.
