Job Summary
The Design Project Manager is responsible for managing design projects from conceptual development through execution. He/she is responsible for developing construction documents and implementing the documents across prototype, in-line, conversion, new construction and renovation restaurant projects for Papa John’s corporate and franchisee locations. The candidate will ensure the construction drawing designs, brand standards, and details are coordinated throughout the set.This role will manage multiple life-cycle design projects for Papa John’s restaurants/stores.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects from initial design concept through permitting, budget approval and final completion
Responsible for managing consultant professional fees, schedules and budgets
Organize and coordinates all aspects of design using both internal and external resources
Interface with other teams (Operations, Real Estate, Property Management, Site Development, Construction, Purchasing, etc.) to adapt Brand design standards to specific sites
Provides schematic plans, elevations, renderings and design development details; highly efficient at producing design development drawings
Reviews surveys and new site plans and creates “as built” plans
Review construction documents for accuracy, coordination and design intent
Coordinate planning/permitting functions with construction manager and external consultants.
Approves shop drawings, reviews proposals of proposed FF&E
Stay abreast of evolving design and construction means and methods through continuing education programs and other informational sources
