The Position:

As an Optometric Technician I at Panorama Eyecare, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver the best eyecare. The Role:

We are seeking an Optometric Technician to add to our team! The focus of this position is to ensure a positive experience for the patient, physician, and clinical team that exemplifies fulfillment of the mission statement at Panorama Eyecare. 

The Optometric Technician assists in all aspects and functions of the assigned patient care area. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be friendly, self-motivated, reliable, organized, customer service oriented and a team player. Experience in optometry preferred but not required. 

  • Patient intake and workup, following standardized protocol and utilizing electronic health records.
  • Assists Optometrists and patients with contact lens fittings.
  • Patient counseling and education as needed.
  • Monitor and manage patients’ eye and vision issues during and after a visit, as directed by Optometrist. 
  • Aware of overall clinic flow, contributes to efficiency of clinic.
  • Updates daily schedule by assessing no-shows and add-ins.
  • Assists in retails aspects of the office including eyecare products and eyewear.
  • Helps with cleaning and stocking work areas including closing exam lanes and equipment at end of clinic. 
  • Works within the confines of the Windsor Eye Care team by assisting other departments with answers to questions, patient triage, etc.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor, including dress and work conversation.
  • Assists in resolution of patient complaints.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with other staff and optometrists.
  • Performs other assigned duties as directed. 

Requirements

Who You Are:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office and in electronic health record is preferred.

Additional Job Details:

Works at our clinic location, Windsor Eye Care.

This is a Full-Time Position.

Compensation for this role will be $17 - $21 an hour based on experience.
