As the Advanced Property Accountant, you will play a key role in our client’s finance team, responsible for managing the financial aspects of multifamily properties. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who can handle the intricacies of property accounting while contributing to our client’s continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain accurate and timely financial records for a portfolio of real estate properties.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of property-related transactions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for assigned properties.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and file property tax and sales tax returns as needed.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4 years of general ledger experience ideal
• Real estate experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, or related roles highly preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
