Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Specialist. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in a medical office setting. This is a vital position that ensures the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain medical records in accordance with established protocols and procedures
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all patient records
- Retrieve and file medical records as needed for patient appointments and consultations
- Process requests for release of medical information in compliance with privacy regulations
- Maintain electronic health record systems and update patient information as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
