Job Duties and Responsibilities:
*Maintain a high standard of safety, teamwork, workmanship and housekeeping.
*Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communication in a manner that gets along with co-workers, customers and supervision.
*Must be able to move or lift products and material of varied sizes and weights, sometime in excess of 1000 pounds, being able to move and lift by hand where appropriate and being able to operate lifting machinery where appropriate.
*Read, setup and assemble from blueprints.
*Operate all assembly equipment.
*Assist in expediting shop production and perform as directed by shop supervision.
*Assist in other areas of the shop and warehouse when needed.
*Perform duties as needed and as directed by Shop supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
*At least 1 year of experience working as one of the following: 1) a millwright, or 2) an assembler and/or mechanical technician in any or all of the following areas: large industrial equipment, heavy metals, weldment manufacturing, industrial or facilities mechanical maintenance on large equipment or utilities (boilers, etc.).
*Must be able to effectively read blueprints, use critical thinking to recognize appropriate parts and configuration, and perform successful assembly from there.
*Must possess the following tools, which are not provided by the company: tool box with lock, set of standard and phillips head screwdrivers, combination end wrenches from 3/8” – 3/4", 3/8” – 3/4" sockets, 8” crescent wrench, channel lock pliers, needlenose pliers, standard set of allen wrenches, tape measure (length), set of hand wrenches, 3” and 1.5" socket set, hand hammer.
*Must be trainable, willing to learn new skills and be willing to cross-train to different areas.
*Must be interested in a long-term career and following a career path.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
*2 years of experience.
*Experience as a millwright.
*Experience rebuilding engines or performing industrial mechanical work.
*Knowledge or experience with inspections and/or quality assurance.
*Experience, and ability to function successfully in, any of the following industrial capacities: fabrication, welding, fitting, painting, sandblasting, machining, electrical, warehouse or shipping.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM CST, with optional Overtime available on Friday 6:00AM-4:30PM CST.
