Host/Hostess is a great starting position for a career in Food & Beverage or as an entryway job leading up to server/bartender. Primary responsibilities include welcoming guests, escorting diners to their tables, providing them with menus, and answering calls for reservations and to-go orders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWatch for guest arrivals and welcome them to the outlet. (If at the Hunt Club, open the door to greet and welcome diners.)Escort guests to their reserved table.Once seated, provide guests with menus, answer any initial questions, and introduce their server.Answer the phone, take reservations, respond to questions and provide exemplary and thoughtful customer service in the process.Assign guests to preferred tables while keeping table rotation in mind.
