Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: 200 - Maintenance
Reports to: Facilities Manager
JOB PURPOSE
Carry out and/or coordinate club house repairs and general maintenance needed for equipment, furniture, masonry and building structure under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the servicing and repairing of systems for lighting, heating, ventilating, fire, drainage and pumping
Manages routine and Preventive Maintenance
Proactively develop, prioritize, and manage club maintenance improvements
Review, update, and record monthly Preventative Maintenance logs
Schedule and supervise pest control contractors
Provide vendor management performance metrics
Provide appropriate and continued employee safety trainings
Complete fire systems inspections
Complete annual Fire Extinguisher and AED Maintenance
Complete annual County and City Inspections
Perform annual Tree and fire abatement
Monitors all work done by outside contractors and communicates the status of each project to the Facilities Manager
Makes costs estimates for budgeting/contract review purposes
Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records of equipment and machinery
Hires, supervises, schedules, trains and evaluates Repair/Maintenance Mechanics
Maintains accurate maintenance of parking lots, tennis courts, swimming pools and other recreational areas
Ensures that all building maintenance, repair and cleaning activities are identified, scheduled and completed
Maintains the club house swimming pool water
Keeps the work shop areas safe, clean and well-lighted
Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the club house and its premises
Attends staff meetings
Responds to emergencies at any time
Issues supplies and equipment to employees
Collects maintenance and work orders from department heads for approval by the General Manager and Facilities Manager
Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, repair and related supplies
Assists with preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc., by installing decorations and constructing display pieces
Helps develop and maintain a resource management plan which outlines short-term and long-term requirements for repair and maintenance, capital replacement and capital requirements
Ensures a highly efficient safety program with an emphasis on awareness, discipline, and compliance; implements an overall safety program that conforms to OSHA standards
KNOWLEDGE | EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years’ maintenance experience with a country club or property management
Certified Facility Manager (CFM) industry certifications recommended; Other Engineering, Business or technical or certifications preferred
Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints
Proficient in understanding management agreements and contract language
Excellent computer and systems knowledge: Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Work, Excel, and Power Point)
Strong discipline of financial management including financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting
Skilled in Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment and maintenance shop. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Maintenance equipment such as mechanical tools.

Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
Continuous repetitive motions
Extend hands and arms in any direction
Work in hot, humid and noisy environment
Hours and Compensation
Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience
This is a full-time non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime
