This is a 180-day confidential staff position which will begin August 2022. The working location for this position will be throughout the Palmyra Area School District buildings and facilities.

Job Overview:
Our School Police Officer (SPO) will be responsible for district safety and security, guidance of the district’s All Hazards Plan, act as a liaison with other agencies/community groups/local law enforcement, and establish positive relationships with district students and staff. Our SPO will provide coverage of all the district’s facilities, programs, and interactions with students (K-12) as required.

Qualifications:

• Must have completed the Commonwealth of PA Act 120 police officer certification program or have graduated from the PA State Police.
• Must have been employed as a PA State Trooper.
• Current weapons certification and valid driver's license is required.
• Training with ALiCE principles is preferred.
