Palms Casino Resort is Hiring a Butler Near Las Vegas, NV
Working closely with the Room Service Manager, the Butler will play an important role inspecting, preparing and coordinating suites and services for the guest. Core Job Responsibilities:
Greet all VIP Palms guests upon arrival and escort them to their Suites
Explain facilities, services and attractions available for their comfort and pleasure and fulfill all requests that are possible for the guest with the collaboration of all Palms employees
Serve meals, snacks, tea, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and other food and beverage items in guest suites
Assist guest in unpacking, packing and the selection, care and maintenance of their wardrobe
Polish shoes, remove spots, brush, press, perform minor repairs to clothing items and arrange for laundry and dry cleaning services and return of these items to the guest's wardrobe
Arrange for personal services including, but not limited to, haircutting and styling, manicure, massage, etc
Draw and assist guest with bath, dressing and other personal needs as requested at all times with the intention to offer the best type of services
Remain immediately available during assigned shift to respond to guest's needs
Coordinate housekeeping services by notifying the Housekeeping and Concierge departments of appropriate times to provide clearing, turn down services etc
Coordinate special requests made by the guests with the Butler Manager on behalf of the Casino Host or other management
Maintain an adequate stock of food and beverage items necessary to meet the needs of guests
Maintain Butler's pantry and all other assigned areas in neat and serviceable conditions.
Report deficiencies or safety hazards to the Room Service Manager and coordinate corrective action
Drive company vehicles to assist with guest requests as necessary
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and activities
Provide documentation on a daily basis to the Room Service Manager of special requests and particular likes and dislikes of each guest which is to be used by the Palms staff for future visits and updated in the Guest History Profiles
Allocate work time to attend to the responsibilities assigned
Continually update and attend training classes as mandated by management to assist in furthering their knowledge and skills
Responsible for glassware, china, silver and linen as well as any other items that may be used during a guest's stay
Greet all Membership Lounge guests explaining all services provided by the Membership Lounge
Provide upscale, personal VIP service to qualified guests in invited guest lounge.
Set up, maintain and break down food display
Take drink orders, prepare and serve alcoholic beverages maintaining complete knowledge of menus and beverage lists
Bus tables in a timely manner (within 5 minutes when guest is finished) and replenish food line on a regular/timely basis
Maintain cleanliness of lounge by clearing all tables of soiled dishes/glasses transporting them to dish room and call steward to clean kitchen/pantry in a timely manner
Register check at end of shift for all food items prepared for the lounge
Order food for following day based on levels and occupancy and complete all assigned side work and stock all butler/lounge pantries
Maintain cleanliness of work place and maintain compliance with local fire and health regulations
Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report to the department leader and Risk Management every 6 months
Immediately notify department leader of any changes to the Nevada Driver's License status
Perform other job-related duties as requested
Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in a luxury hotel, casino, restaurant or related hospitality area
Butler experience in a luxury resort setting
Advanced understanding of food and beverage service skills including room service, wine and spirits knowledge
Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English
Excellent customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Polished appearance and demeanor
At least 21 years of age
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality
Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests
Use of standard office equipment
Basic math
Valid Nevada Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness Card and Southern Nevada Health Card.

Work is performed in a guest suite setting
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
May be exposed to smoke
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
