Medical Assistant needed for a busy specialty practice located in downtown Columbia. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and provide care with compassion. Must maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.

The Medical Assistant will assist in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
Assists Physicians, Physician Assistants, and other members of both the clinical and administrative team in obtaining patient protected healthcare information (PHI).
