Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline RequiredBachelor’s degree RequiredRequired Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications
BLS (must obtain within 30 days from hire date)Handle with Care (must obtain within 30 days from hire date)Licenses: Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners License for Physical Therapist.
