Must be 3rd level or higher nursing student currently attending an accredited nursing school. Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities, including taking and recording vital signs, collecting and transporting specimens, rounding and handling basic patient requests, assisting in the admission, transfer and discharge process, delivery and assistance with patient meals and other duties assigned by the Registered Nurse.

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent RequiredThe Nurse Extern must be in their 3rd level or higher of accredited registered nursing program and seeking to obtain a Full Time Registered Nurse position upon graduation at Palestine Regional Medial Center.Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications
