Palco is growing, and we need a leader who can guide the financial systems that empower us. We are searching for an experienced Accounting Director to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued success.

This position works closely with the CEO and President of our organization. The Accounting Director will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. This position overseas the Accounting, Billing and Tax Departments.

The Accounting Director Leads, identifies and develops the tools, resources, and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the President and CEO and organizational leadership and makes actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations. Oversees long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the organization's strategic plan.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term goals, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability enhancement
  • Provide leadership and guidance in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for Executive Team and Owners
  • Oversee Cash Management both cash flow and projections; Cash Flow Statement for Financial reporting
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Budget, forecast, and help oversee current and future investments and capital structures
  • Create financial outlook reports and ensure company funds are sufficient
  • Manage and track budget and accounting information including billing, and tax information
  • Oversee all fiscal reporting within the company and create monthly budget reports
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to the financial team
  • Report to and work with the CEO on all financial matters
  • Ensures legal compliance on all financial functions.
  • Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
  • Maintain internal safeguards for receipts, costs and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Responsible for financial forecasting.
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; CPA required
  • 5 years of Accounting Director experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience with audits and/or financial management in various organizations and ability to promote best practices within finance and operations highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the flexibility to work across business units and various levels of management.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with demanding deadlines.
