Responsibilities

Primary Duties include:

• Run Legacy Flexographic Press as an Operator leading the effort to produce quality cartons efficiently
• Fast-paced team oriented environment where effective communication and attention to detail are critical
• Monitor production and provide instructions to press team to efficiently and effectively produce cartons
• Monitor and perform critical quality checks on material as needed
• Act as backup for other critical functions as needed such as loading board and ink and stacking cartons
• Lead effort to troubleshooting equipment and printing issues
• Assist others in performing auxiliary tasks such as splicing between roles and changing over inks as needed
• Act as lead trainer on press providing direction to trainees
• Monitor production, while following standard processes and procedures to produce quality cartons.
• Use electronic barcode scanning equipment.
• Track critical production information via electronic production log sheet
• Assist with machine uptime by responding to and communicating maintenance issues.
• Utilize manual and lift equipment.
• Learn, understand and follow “lock out/tag out” procedures
• Utilize hand tools to maintain equipment.
• Make adjustments to machinery to assist with the production process.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Communicate well with line operator.
• Complete required operational paperwork.
• Comply with facility Safe Quality Foods and Safety Requirements when performing work duties.
• Ability to stand, lift, reach, bend and twist while performing tasks that are near, within and around machinery.
• Utilize standard operating procedures to perform job tasks.

Qualifications

Requirements for success:

• Experience running a Flexographic Press Required
• Expectation is that you will be able to run / assist with little to no training
• High energy
