Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans
- Provide support to students in the classroom, including those with autism
- Help with classroom management and behavior reinforcement
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Support students in literacy education and math skills development
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as needed
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
- Assist with maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students, particularly those with autism or special needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
