Job Summary: As a Patient Care Coordinator in our plastic surgery private practice, you will be the primary point of contact for patients seeking cosmetic or reconstructive procedures. You will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service, guiding patients through their journey from initial consultation to post-operative care. Your responsibilities will encompass administrative tasks, patient communication, and coordination with medical staff to ensure seamless patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Consultation Management:
• Schedule and coordinate patient consultations with plastic surgeons.
• Educate patients on procedures, potential risks, benefits, and realistic expectations.
• Assist patients in completing necessary paperwork and consent forms.
• Appointment Scheduling:
• Manage appointment schedules for consultations, surgeries, and follow-up visits.
• Coordinate with surgical team and operating room staff to schedule surgeries efficiently.
• Ensure timely communication with patients regarding appointment reminders and any necessary preparations.
• Financial Coordination:
• Provide cost estimates and discuss financial options with patients, including insurance coverage and financing plans.
• Facilitate payment processing and coordinate with billing department as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling patient financial information.
• Preoperative Preparation:
• Coordinate preoperative evaluations, tests, and clearances as required.
• Ensure patients receive preoperative instructions and understand pre-surgery protocols.
• Address any patient concerns or questions leading up to the surgery date.
• Postoperative Care and Follow-up:
• Schedule and oversee postoperative appointments and follow-up care.
• Provide postoperative instructions to patients and address any concerns or complications.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate updates to the medical team.
• Patient Communication and Support:
• Serve as a liaison between patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone, email, or in-person visits.
• Foster a supportive and empathetic environment to address patient needs and concerns.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure documentation compliance.
• Coordinate with administrative staff on inventory management and supply ordering.

Qualifications:

• Some medical training preferred, but willingness to undertake on-the-job clinical training a must.
