Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, and maintaining customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in an accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Perform account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and develop collection strategies
- Process credit memos and adjustments as needed
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions
- Perform data entry tasks related to accounts receivable
Skills:
- Proficiency in an accounting software
- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Knowledge of account analysis techniques
- Experience with ProducePro or other ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with national and local financial requirements
- Back up (on occasion) the A/P Specialist
