Pacific Plastics, Inc. is one of the premier manufacturers of PVC pipe in the United States.
Established in 1979 in Orange, California, Pacific Plastics started its operation with a limited product line that was offered only to the plumbing market of Southern California. Over time, Pacific Plastics has grown considerably, and currently is serving the Western United States and Northern Mexico with a broad array of PVC pipe products.

Under direct supervision this position is accountable for operating and overseeing pipe manufacturing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation of industrial pipe manufacturing equipment
• Perform all required product quality checks and properly document
• Coordinate proper placement of product to ensure inventory efficiency; calculate material usage and conversion to ensure maximum material production
• Works with floor leader to ensure quality control on piece parts and adheres to standard operating procedures.
• Effectively communicates with team to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
• Ensure all required safety policies/training is practiced in assigned role
• Communicate and resolve line performance issues within assigned role
• Attend all required training sessions and plant meetings as required by the Supervisor
• Ensure proper time keeping as required by the company time and attendance policy
• Fill in for other roles as qualified
• Operate material moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to insure proper machine operation
• Handle stock in a matter that does not get damaged
• Work with various employees and supervisors to resolve problems and/or errors
• Additional job duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirement:

• 0-2 years of previous manufacturing assembly or fabrication experience required
• Ability to stand at fabrication equipment for 6-8 hours
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to differentiate colors, use basic hand tools, read engineering blueprints, bill of materials
• Ability to operate most fabrication equipment
• Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly procedures/processes (preferred)
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude
• Basic math aptitude required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
