Pacific Coast Pediatric Dentistry is Hiring a Dental Receptionist Near Redondo, CA

We are excited to be hiring a full time dental receptionist to join our dental team! We are a beautiful, brand-new Pediatric dental office located in Redondo Beach. We are looking for someone who will match our enthusiasm for positive patient experience, patient education, and collaboration. We are seeking someone special to grow with our practice. Hours:

Monday - Friday with option to work on Saturdays.

Benefits: In house dental, paid vacation and sick days, 401k, and some medical benefits.

This candidate should have excellent communication skills, be professional, organized, efficient, and a self starter with a high standard of care. Previous front office dental experience and insurance billing is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right team member :)

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet and welcome patients.
  • Answer phones with friendly tone and help assist with scheduling and answering questions
  • Maintain a neat and orderly front office including reception area.
  • Maintain front office supplies.
  • Sort, organize and distribute mail.
  • Prepare and mail thank-you notes to patients and referring practitioners.
  • Ensure patients have updated all necessary paperwork prior to treatment.
  • Manage recall system.
  • Manage on-call patient list to fill no-shows and failed appointments.
  • Collect payments from patients at the time of treatment.
  • Schedule patient appointments over the phone and in office.
  • Ensure that patient records are accurate and complete and that patient confidentiality is strictly maintained.
  • Submit information for preauthorization of benefits for proposed treatment.
  • Ensure that correct coding is used to designate the diagnoses and procedures performed.
  • Follow up with insurance claims and delinquent accounts.
  • Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies
  • Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings
  • Ability to project a positive, warm and professional image
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative and anticipate the needs of others
  • Works well in a team with humor, enthusiasm, respect & integrity

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current basic life support (CPR) certification. (Course can be provided for you if you are not in compliance)
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.
  • Ability to multitask.
