We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Food Service Sales for our Portland, Oregon office.The Director of Food Service Sales is a proven front-line leader who spends the majority of their time with company Sales Representatives and out on the street with our current and prospective customers. This position requires an innovative thinker with the ability to repeatedly introduce new and improved business ideas. The Director works side-by-side with the Business Development Manager to identify, approach, and win new business opportunities. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day selling activities of their assigned Sales Representatives and the Director must utilize the tools and techniques available to motivate their team to meet or exceed their sales quotas. In addition, the Director must have an excellent understanding of the company’s products and services and provide new employees with in-depth training so they can better sell those products to consumers.

What you'll do...

  • Lead, motivate, inspire, and develop a team of food service sales representatives.
  • Oversee and execute sales strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new hires as well as existing team members, conducting field support/work-with sessions to observe coaching needs and support needs for development, and evaluate needs and recommend training as needed.
  • Prepare sales budgets and projections.
  • Set individual sales targets with the sales team members.
  • Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  • Provide daily guidance to sales team to support their growth and success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
  • Serve as the face of the Sales Department and organization to internal and external partners.

  • Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales.
  • Ability to recognize and recruit sales representatives who will be successful.

  • Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy.
  • Ability to guide and mentor sales representatives.
  • Planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License
