Pacific Bells, Inc. is Hiring a TB MS SHIFT LEAD Near Magee, MS

Title: Shift Leader

Reports To: Restaurant General Manager

Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt

Supervises: Team Members during Assigned Shifts

Position Summary:

The Shift Leader (SL) is an hourly position that provides additional management coverage of operating hours and direct supervision of operations. Focal points include driving Customer Mania, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, building maintenance, product quality and speed of service. The Shift Leader directly performs hands-on operational work on an ongoing basis to assist in training employees, responding to guest service needs and otherwise role model appropriate skills and behaviors in their restaurant. The Shift Leader may assume full responsibility for the closing of the restaurant and, on occasion, the opening of a restaurant when other management is unavailable. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  1. Manages each shift to ensure fair and equitable employee treatment as well as compliance with all company, federal and state workplace laws/regulations
  2. Provides training and certification for team members in selected Learning Zone modules
  3. Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, but cannot discipline or discharge another employee
  4. Assists with safety awareness by conducting safety meetings, taking minutes, or posting information

Guest Satisfaction/Product Quality

  1. Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations and ensures products are consistent with quality standards
  2. Interacts with guests in a highly effective and proactive manner, resolving the majority of on-site guest issues
  3. Conducts periodic and shift-to-shift food safety audits
  4. Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to team members on guest service, product quality and SOS
  5. Possesses a strong eye for detail and cleanliness
  6. Presents a positive image through tidy and professional appearance of self and other employees

Operations

  1. Technically proficient in all aspects of food preparation, production, and delivery
  2. Displays detailed knowledge of all key food handling/food safety procedures
  3. Displays detailed knowledge of all Taco Bell product standards
  4. Conducts daily inventory and sets up daily control sheets (DCS)
  5. Monitors SOS performance and resolves bottlenecks to achieve SOS goals
  6. Reviews facility and equipment readiness and has ability to perform basic troubleshooting
  7. In the absence of other management, responsible for food and supplies deliveries and restaurant opening and closing

Financial

  1. Shares (with the management team) day-to-day responsibility for cash procedures such as bank deposits, making change, opening/closing safe, verifying register drawers and DCS audits

Success Measures:

  • Shift/Weekly restaurant performance in sales, ICOS, labor, cash and controllables
  • 5 Bells results, PRCs and Food Safety Audit results

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong preference for internal promote from team member position who has completed all required Learning Zone training and certification
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license to comply with daily deposit and banking requirements, where needed is preferred
  • Access to a vehicle to drive to and from work so that banking/deposit requirements can be conducted safely and securely is preferred.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Must possess a minimum of six months, shift management/supervisory experience, preferably in a service-related business
  • Must have the ability to maintain financial controls and coach and train employees
  • Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be flexible enough to deal with rapid change
