Position Summary:
Fast paced Foot & Ankle specialty group seeking reliable Medical Assistant for immediate, long term position. The Medical Assistant will provide direct support to physicians and work closely with our administrative team to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of the office and provide exceptional and compassionate patient care.
Job Function and Duties:
- Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
- Assist Physician in the exam room
- Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
- Triage patients as needed
- Complete patient paperwork and enter into the EMR
- Update medical records
- Obtain pre-surgery clearances
- Prepare instrument trays for in-office procedures
- Obtain consent forms for procedures
- Casting set-up and cast removal
- Clean and stock exam rooms
- Supply inventory management
- Please note: these tasks are not entirely comprehensive and additional duties may be asked per physician request
Required Skills & Abilities:
- HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance
- Medical office experience preferred
- Must be professional and courteous
- Excellent communication skills
- Organizations skills
- Ability to work with a team or independently
- Knowledge of EMR/Computer Skills
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
- May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds as needed throughout the day.
Schedule and Related Information:
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday
