Pace Staffing Network is Hiring a Remote Leave of Absence Specialist (Must Live in Washington State)

Position Overview:

As a Leave of Absence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting leave cases for all MHS employees. This includes providing consultation to both employees and managers on various leave of absence policies and processes such as disability, FMLA, WFLA, Military, unpaid medical, and Intermittent leaves. You will act as a liaison with our leave management vendor, ensuring all paperwork is accurately processed in a timely manner and that benefit changes are effectively managed. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with managers to ensure proper timecard coding for leave-related absences. This role also involves providing Tier 2 support for escalated leave issues and inquiries, ensuring employees receive the highest quality of service and support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with employees and managers on leave of absence policies and processes
  • Act as a liaison with leave management vendor
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of paperwork and benefit changes
  • Provide guidance to managers on timecard coding for leave-related absences
  • Provide Tier 2 support for escalated leave issues and inquiries
  • Conduct research, analysis, and resolution of existing leave issues
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Evaluate service level support for compliance
  • Demonstrate exceptional service orientation, organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem analysis skills
  • Relate well to all individuals and effectively manage conflicts


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Health Administration preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in benefits, absence management, or FMLA systems orientation
  • Previous experience using Workday is preferred but not mandatory (employer will provide training if needed)


Job Details:

  • Job Title: Leave of Absence Specialist
  • Duration: 6 months or more (Possible temp to hire)
  • Compensation: $25 to $35/hr. DOE
  • Location: 100% remote
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
