Our company is growing rapidly and is searching for experienced candidates for the position of CNC machinist. To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
Primary Areas of Responsibility
- Must demonstrate the ability to operate CNC lathes and mills
- Recognizes improper machine functioning and recognizes defects in machinery, measuring instruments, or equipment
- Inspect and measure parts to maintain blueprint specifications
- Perform side operations as required (e.g, deburring) while CNC is running
- Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously
- Maintain a clean work area and machine
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Candidate must be computer literate with knowledge of applications related to machining
- Report discrepancies in job route times as soon as they are identified
- Well-organized, strong written & verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated
- Must be comfortable working in a team environment
- Lifting 5 to 50 pounds is required on a regular basis and heavy lifting
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC operator
- Create N/C programs for the machining centers
- Advanced math skills and the ability to calculate feeds and speeds required Horizontal milling experience preferred
- Knowledge of G-Code, conversational and other programming languages
