What Will You Be Doing?

The CNC Machinist will have a variety of daily responsibilities including operating our CNC swiss machines or our Hydromat machines. You will need to gage parts, change tools, make offsets as needed, prep raw material and keep the area clean. You will also be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions in a safety-oriented manner.

The higher end of this pay rate is for setup/repair and programmers. Please do not apply if you have minimal experience AND expect to earn $30/hour. However, we are a company that rewards those who work hard so if you have a great attitude and are a hard worker you will earn up quick! Those that have lots of experience, a great attitude and can program and setup you would be in the $30/hr range.

Below is a list of responsibilities for this position:

• Operate and maintain equipment
• Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications
• Move material to equipment when needed
• Clean work area
• Perform daily maintenance activities
• Work with office and supporting departments
• Setup jobs on machine
• Rescue machine from alarms and repair jobs

What would make you successful in this role?

• CNC or Hydromat experience preferred
• Must be able to read non-digital micrometers
• Must be able to read blue prints
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
• Must be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specifications
• Must be cooperative and a team player
• Must have good communication skills
• Mathematics skills is a plus: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Trigonometry is a plus.
• Must be motivated! If you want to sit at a desk this job is not for you.

**Please be aware that our shop is an oily environment so you must not be afraid to get dirty. You will also be required to keep your area clean which includes mopping the floor whenever needed. It is imperative that the candidate not feel any task is too small for them.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Hydromat: 3 years (Preferred)
• Blueprint reading: 3 years (Preferred)
• manual micrometers: 3 years (Preferred)
• CNC Machining: 2 years (Required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift/Overnight Shift
