PAC is Hiring a Field Service Rep - Northeast Near Virtual, MA

Who We Are

Uson is the premiere global provider of leak testing equipment and solutions for the medical device, automotive, electric vehicle, industrial and packaging industries. Since 1963 Uson has taken the leak testing technology we first developed for NASA and applied it to a wide range of automated industrial assembly applications.

Your Role

This role is responsible for performing field service activities like installs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs of USON’s Leak Testers and PAC’s Physical Properties product lines at customer sites used in the medical and the Petro-Chemical industry according to ASTM or other regulatory standards. This position requires up to 90% travel to customers locations, primarily throughout the Northeast and other various territories based on the business needs. Preferred candidate resides in Massachusetts; however, other northeast locations will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide field service support, which includes but not limited to, installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, basic troubleshooting, and breakdown repairs on USON and PAC equipment per procedures and work instructions.
  • Provide telephone support as needed.
  • Prepare and update quotations for service.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain record keeping daily (e.g.: timesheets, service reports, calibration documentation, checklists, CRM & MRP systems, parts used etc.).
  • Issue professionally generated service reports to customers showing the service performed.
  • Use computerized equipment, test equipment, and software to perform testing functions.
  • Manage inventory assigned for repairs to ensure accuracy of individual and main warehouse.
  • Expand product knowledge base and keep up on product and software updates.
  • Promote exceptional customer relationships.
  • Always observe essential safety policies and procedures within the company and at customer sites.
  • Assist with related special projects, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred or, associate degree (A.A.) or technical degree from two-year college in the field of Mechanical or Electronics /Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 5 or more years of work experience in building or servicing or troubleshooting Mechanical, Pneumatics, Electrical/Electronic components.
  • PLC / controls systems knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, MRP systems and MS Office suite
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate, identify and solve problems in communication with the internal and external customers.
  • Good oral and written skills.
  • Ability to work with team members but also able to direct own work.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability and drive to follow up on outstanding tasks.

  • May require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve equipment and other items. 

Work Environment:

Essential duties of this classification are primarily performed in a dynamic office/manufacturing environment that may include frequent interruptions and a high level of contact with staff, other members of management, customers, vendors, and off-site employees/locations.

Travel: Up to 90%
