We provide Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical engineering for a variety of projects that include commercial office buildings, educational facilities, public agencies, and interior tenant build-outs. GAA is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in developing construction documents for power, lighting, fire alarm, security and telecommunications systems for educational, government, and commercial facilities. LEED certification is desirable. Good communication and writing skills are a must.
The responsibilities of the candidate will include: preparation of studies, electrical evaluations, design, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration services. We are interested in candidates who are self-motivated, posses a great attitude and who will fit in as a vital member of our firm working closely with our in-house architects and structural, mechanical and plumbing engineers. The person will be involved in a variety of projects ranging throughout Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland. Candidates must be well-organized, clear communicators, and proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate must have hands-on experience with construction documents, writing specifications, and understanding building codes.
