As a Manufacturing Operator I at P.G. Adams, you will train with and be supported by other team members while working collaboratively and individually toward overarching production/business goals.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent.

● Strong math skills, including arithmetic, algebra, and basic geometry.

● Accurately read tape measure to 1/32”, understand instructions, and interpret basic drawings.

● The strongest candidates will possess knowledge of machines (CNC & mechanical) and tools commonly used in steel fabrication, as well as proficiency with overhead cranes and forklift. However, we recognize the value of transferable skills from other industries and we encourage a diversity of applicants to apply.

Core Responsibilities:

● Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, recognize and prevent safety hazards, and look out for safety of co-workers.

● Produce high quality work consistently and accurately.

● Perform work in a timely manner according to production schedule.

● Work cooperatively and collaboratively across operations to meet dynamically changing business needs.

Our strong onboarding process and well supported development program helps ensure that new team members have the training and tools to succeed in these Core Job Duties:

○ Assist with press brake operation under the supervision of equipment operators.

○ Set up and operate CNC plasma tables including most efficient use of machine and materials.

○ Rig, load & unload material with overhead cranes & forklift.

○ Operate a variety of steel fabricating tools including grinders, torch, ironworker.

○ Quality control of own work as well as final quality control of product.

○ Packaging with pneumatic bander.

○ Help troubleshoot and prevent equipment problems.

○ Conduct pre-operation equipment safety check & participate in equipment preventive maintenance.

○ Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

○ Identify opportunities for improving the work and actively participate in implementing solutions.

○ General duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
