POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking a Process Engineer. Working under the supervision of a project manager, Quality/Engineering manager, supervisor, or lead, the Process Engineer will work with the Engineering team to ensure successful integration of product requirements between design/stress, manufacturing, quality/test and product maintenance organizations. The Process Engineer will work both independently as well as part of a team to ensure the systematic conversion of customer requirements into product solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints throughout the value stream. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Process Engineer will receive instructions on task specifications and process design constraints and will be expected to utilize a limited level of experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks in the following areas: Work closely with Quality/Engineering team to perform technical product requirements identification and analysis Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key processes of Chem Processing (CP), Non-destructive Testing (NDT), and Organic Coatings (Prime/Paint application) throughout the facility. Lead and support in process development improvements, problem-solving, troubleshooting and/or development of various processes or technologies Assist in trade studies during product development and producibility evaluations Assist team in the coordination of product development, configuration management and operations to ensure requirements are properly decomposed, integrated into product definition and capable of flowing seamlessly through the value stream Under guidance from team leader, serve as program interface with customer and certification authorities regarding product test requirements Actively participates in Root Cause and Corrective Actions. Assist in Certification Test Plan Development Assist Quality/Engineering team responsible for product test fixture concepts, design, fabrication, and calibration/verification of tooling/equipment Assist with process and product Certification Test execution Review quality/production/engineering dataset releases in accordance with pre-established guidelines to ensure design intent is conveyed using model-based definition and PDM (Product Data Management) systems Performs other duties as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES Requires a BSME, BSCE, BSAE, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and a minimum of 0-4 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry or in a related field. Requires working knowledge of: CATIA V5, PDM systems and MS Office products.
