Oxbow Energy Solutions LLC is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in our Enid, OK office. This position will be responsible for technology troubleshooting between the calcining plants and the petroleum refineries producing or having the potential to produce the delayed coke purchased by Oxbow

Essential Job Duties:

  • Comply with all of Oxbow’s Health & Safety Policies.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements applicable to the facility, including, but not limited to, compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain safety standards to ensure employees and contractors are complying with Oxbow Calcining’s policies to include, but not limited to wearing proper personal protective equipment, maintaining housekeeping standards, reviewing and performing JSA’s and JSOP’s, confined space permits, hot work permits, lock-out tag-out procedures, and quarterly safety card compliance.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, company policy and company required maintenance inspections.
  • Responsible for the environmental compliance recordkeeping and reporting for the facility.
  • Maintains lab, Sample Prep, and ISO related equipment and calibrations.
  • Responsible for the lab analysis programs.
  • Involvement in technical aspects of raw material procurement, handling, and processing.
  • Maintains quality profiles of raw materials.
  • Determines raw material usage and coordinates with Production and Corporate to ensure the right cokes are available and used.
  • Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.
  • Performs duties as needed as the ISO Management Representative and Document Controller
  • Interfaces with customers and suppliers electronically and in person, including audits at Oxbow or the customer/supplier’s location.
  • Actively participate in plant health & safety processes, including safety committees, health & safety inspections, safety meetings/toolbox talks, job safety analysis (JSAs), incident/near miss investigations, and formal monthly safety training.
  • Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the raw coke yard and production areas for quality inspections.

  • Ability to recognize environmental hazards, take appropriate action and notify proper personnel.
