Position:Shotblast Operator

Reporting To: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Division:NPS-Metals

Location:Fargo, ND

Shift Differential $2.00

Outline of the role

This position will be responsible for running the shot blaster to remove mill scale from metal parts.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Operates equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Follows specifications or procedures for set-up and machine operation using job orders
Feed material into the machine and control/adjust machine settings
To monitor and maintain the machine.
To check quality against job specifications and report any deviation.
Shot blast parts to specified parameters.
To review work in progress and report accordingly.
Regular Attendance and Punctuality
Other job duties as directed

Work Environment

This job will be on the Production Floor and Production offices. While in

these production areas following standard health and safety practices is a must. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.

Our oldest division, PVS Structures, was founded in Omaha, NE as Paxton & Vierling Iron Works in 1885, and focused primarily on our foundry and structural products.
