Owen Industries is Hiring a Shot Blast Machine Operator- 2nd Shift (M-TH 4:00 pm - 2:30 am) Near Fargo, ND

Position:Shotblast Operator
Reporting To: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Division:NPS-Metals
Location:Fargo, ND
Shift Differential $2.00
Outline of the role
This position will be responsible for running the shot blaster to remove mill scale from metal parts.
Key tasks and responsibilities
  • Operates equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Follows specifications or procedures for set-up and machine operation using job orders
  • Feed material into the machine and control/adjust machine settings
  • To monitor and maintain the machine.
  • To check quality against job specifications and report any deviation.
  • Shot blast parts to specified parameters.
  • To review work in progress and report accordingly.
  • Regular Attendance and Punctuality
  • Other job duties as directed

  • To support and encourage other crewmembers.
  • To comply with NPS health and safety requirements and policies.
  • To achieve required quality standards.
  • To achieve on-time delivery to internal and external customers

Work Environment
This job will be on the Production Floor and Production offices. While in
these production areas following standard health and safety practices is a must. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.

abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Owen Industries is the parent company of several steel processing and fabrication companies throughout the Midwest. Our oldest division, PVS Structures, was founded in Omaha, NE as Paxton & Vierling Iron Works in 1885, and focused primarily on our foundry and structural products.
