JOB TITLE: Electronics Assembler/Assembly Lab Assistant , Full-time/Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY: Elmgrove Technologies is currently seeking a conscientious individual with a superb work ethic to join our Contract Electronics Manufacturing team. Successful candidate will perform a wide variety of technical tasks in a low volume/high quality production environment

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Successful candidate’s responsibilities shall include, but will not be limited to:

· Hand placement and soldering of SMT and TH components (using either lead/lead-free solder)

· Assemble electromechanical devices using a wide variety of hardware

· Wire/Cable prep and installation (to include trimming, tinning, crimping etc.)

· Preparation (cutting and forming) of TH components

· As-needed operation of equipment such as wave solder and aqueous cleaning machines

· Packaging finished product and preparing for shipment

· Communicate both verbally and written with coworkers/management regarding procedures, inspections, requirements etc.

· Being positive, punctual and maintaining good attendance

· Various other “as-needed” tasks as deemed necessary by management

QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidate shall possess the following qualifications:

· A general understanding of (or interest in learning about) electrical components and electronics assembly

· Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task

· Ability to read and closely follow work instructions

· Ability to identify components, recognize all colors of the color spectrum, and verify customer specifications per documentation.

· Ability to work under a microscope (requires fine manual dexterity and good eyesight)

· Ability to pass a drug test and background check

· A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

· Industry experience a plus but will train the right candidate

POSITION TYPE / SHIFT INFO:

· Full-time (40 hrs per week) or Part-time (20 hrs per week)

· Possible Work Study/Internship Opportunity

· Flexible shift (typically between normal business hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm)

*New hires will be placed on a 90-day probationary period before being considered for permanent full-time employment.
