Owen Electric Company Inc., is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Purchasing Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the procurement process for construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, Superintendents, to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies.
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on cost, quality, and reliability.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts.
Monitor, track and expedite deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials and services.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new products.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction purchasing or procurement.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
