Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for desktop computers, applications, and related technology. You will also troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform installations and upgrades, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities: - Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end-users - Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software - Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals - Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory and other systems - Assist with network connectivity issues, including VPN and TCP/IP configurations - Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain computer networking systems - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and patches - Create and update documentation for IT procedures and user guides - Assist with the deployment of new hardware or software solutions - Adhere to security protocols to protect sensitive data Requirements: - Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role - Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) - Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting - Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users - Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues independently or with minimal supervision - Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPO) administration is a plus - Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus - Ability to work well in a team environment Join our team as a Desktop Support Technician and contribute to the success of our IT department.
