THE ROLE

As Marketing Director of Outriders, you will take ownership of the marketing and brand strategy for a fast-growing company at the forefront of country, folk, and Americana music in the west. From Under The Big Sky Festival to weekly shows at various venues within the Flathead Valley and beyond, you will collaborate with booking, PR, design, artist, venue teams and more — leading the Outriders Marketing department with passion — to increase brand awareness, nurture emerging markets, and push the Outriders brand forward. In this role, you will be expected to bring a forward-thinking mindset to the company, utilizing best practices as well as emerging trends and technologies across marketing and aligned brand initiatives that speak to the heart of our target market. High quality standards and previous senior marketing experience a must.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising or related field
  • 10 years experience in the digital marketing field — Events / Music / Entertainment industries B2C preferred
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader with experience building, leading and developing teams
  • Experience executing comprehensive, multi-channel marketing plans including Email Marketing, SMS Marketing, Websites, Social Media, and Print
  • Exceptional analytical skills — ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries, and deliver actionable business insights
  • An unrelenting drive to to “move the needle” — be it driving engagement, sales, or growth
  • Knowledge of all current and developing digital marketing trends and channels including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Link.tree, QR codes, Website Strategy/Wordpress, Email Strategy, and SMS Strategy
  • Deep understanding of CPC, CTR, Customer Segmentation, ROAS, CAC, Open Rate, Audience List Management, and A/B Testing
  • Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results
  • Self-managing — require very little direction and oversight to successfully execute
  • Hyper-organized with a strong attention to detail

THE POSITION

  • Build, plan, and execute a full-funnel digital marketing strategy across all channels to achieve Outriders’ marketing objectives
  • Guide, review, & approve all content — Social Media posts, Graphics, Website Landing Pages, Email Campaigns, SMS Campaigns, Press Releases, Ads, Print Flyers, & more
  • Develop objectives and tactics across each marketing channel and implement them accordingly to ensure maximum ROI
  • Oversee and manage social media accounts, including community management
  • Work closely with booking, artist, and venue teams to create and execute cohesive and robust marketing campaigns
  • Oversee, manage, and maintain various segmented lists including Email and SMS
  • Stay ahead of the curve with trends, technology, and advancements in digital marketing
  • Discover and analyze differentiating customer insights and translate them into strategic and creative campaigns and strategies
  • Provide ongoing insights and recommendations to the executive team
  • Oversee marketing department personnel including recruiting, onboarding, and managing new talent on an as-needed basis
  • Manage, track, and report Marketing Budget on a regular basis
  • Develop creative strategy & oversee execution — start to finish — for marketing deliverables, including digital/print, emails, SMS, websites, Facebook ads, and more
  • Maintain and build the company’s brand voice, image, and ethos across channels
  • Manage key marketing tools such as Social Media, Websites/Wordpress, Document Management, Email/SMS platforms, Facebook Business, Meta Ads, Mailchimp, Slack, Google Analytics
  • Impeccable copywriting (creative direct response) and editing a must
  • If not located in Whitefish area, occasional travel for select on-site events and meetings required

  • Full time employment position (W2)
  • Must live in Montana. Whitefish/Columbia Falls/Kalispell area preferred, Bozeman OK
  • Remote with select on-site work for events and meetings
  • Attend weekly staff calls
  • Must be available during normal business hours M-F
  • Work in a fast paced environment where everyday is different

Pay: $65K DOE

Job Type: Full-time
