Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of FT IT Assistant. The PT-Time IT Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director, MIS Services, in installing, troubleshooting and overall maintenance of the agency’s computer-based Management Information System initiatives. The main office is located in Richmond Hill, Queens but this position may require travel to other facility locations in Brooklyn, Nassau County and Suffolk County.

What You Will Do:

• Setting up and installing computer work stations
• Problem solving network and computer issues
• Assisting employees with questions regarding computer programs and operating systems
• Utilize ticket tracking system to document results of problem resolution sessions
• Perform basic user administration on servers
• Responsible for system preparation, including software installations and user configurations, for new and rebuilt systems for employees
• Perform software installs, minor hardware repairs/maintenance, and assist with moving employees' desktop equipment
• Responsible for proactively managing high severity and priority incidents from identification to resolution and escalation to appropriate group
• Participate in emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule

Who You Are:

• Must have extensive knowledge computer technology, Microsoft operating systems and networks.
• Knowledge of other applications a plus.
• Bachelors Degree in MIS, CS, IS, IT, Engineering or Associates degree with relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Understand standard business practices
• Possess a passion for leveraging technology to create enterprise wide solutions
• Clean and valid NYS driver's license required.

This is a part-time non-exempt position.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Must have ability to travel among assigned sites as needed. There may be long periods of standing, sitting, and computer usage.
