Description

Under the direction of the Senior Director of IT, the Database Analyst will have a foundation in basic SQL development responsibilities, optimization and tuning, T-SQL Development, reports development, and preferably exposure to supporting or developing interfaces and handling data migrations. This position will work closely with business users, vendors and other IT team members in a variety of projects and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

  • Designs, creates, enhances, and executes SSIS packages for importing and exporting data.
  • Develops creative solutions and writes technical design based on the requirements.
  • Responsible for creation and manipulation of analysis reports using various reporting tools.
  • Performs manipulation and transformation of client data using various SQL tools.
  • Promotes high quality, scalable, and timely completion of projects.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Responsible for design, creation, and enhancement of stored procedures, views, etc.
  • Maintains some software applications that support the company’s business needs.
  • Participates in code reviews and provides feedback on optimization applications or reports.
  • Handles HIPAA sensitive information and recognizes importance of these regulations.
  • Assists with data migrations.
  • Provides expertise on data quality, data migration, data security, metadata, data architecture and information lifecycle.
  • Designs and develops reporting and analytical applications.
  • Designs and develops database schema, functions, tables, stored procedures, and ETL.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 to 3 years' experience with MS-SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with data validation, data file manipulation, report creation, data extraction
  • Experience with T-SQL, Visual Studio, SQL Server Data Tools

EDUCATION:

  • College degree strongly preferred OR equivalent professional experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Programming background in SSIS and SSRS is a plus.
