Description

Maintains (PM’s) machinery, equipment, physical structures in an industrial establishment by performing the following duties in a team or solo environment. Including HVAC Filter Changes and Routine Spring/Fall maintenance. Painting, Carpentry, Light Plumbing in all areas of the facility. May also include Grounds Maintenance. This includes Grass cutting, Weed Whacking, Hedge Trimming, Tree Trimming, Etc. Collaborates with Maintenance Manager to determine the best course of action for required tasks. Exhibit time management skills and respect for fellow employees.

essential functions

  • Provides Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) of production equipment during production.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance, scheduled P/M services on equipment and Requests to order parts / supplies when necessary.
  • Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules. Demonstrates familiarity with site safety precautions such as L.O.T.O. procedures and P.P.E.
  • Demonstrates basic working knowledge of phone and computer systems software. Will be Required to use CMMS software to perform and track all maintenance duties.
  • Painting walls on interior & exteriors of building, replacing light bulbs as needed, transport furniture and other equipment in building.
  • Visually inspects tests and troubleshoots machinery, equipment and keeps logs of all maintenance work.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with Manager or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and other general maintenance duties as needed.
    • Perform grounds-keeping duties, such as general cleanup, snow blowing/shoveling in winter and Lawn Maintenance in the spring and summer. also performs miscellaneous custodial work as needed.
    • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment, communicates with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
    • Assist with systems based on Lean principles and practices to meet or exceed the requirements of the established QMS, EMS and all other standards required to serve our target markets.
    • Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the President or his representative.
    • Will be an essential part of the Safety Team. Helping to implement better safety practices into the facility daily.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more at any given time.
    • Will be required to always wear appropriate PPE while in Facility or doing jobs on Company Property That require PPE.

    High School Graduate and/or technical school; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
