GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Setup and Operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on metal, plastic, PTFE production pieces .
JOB DESCRIPTION essential functions Read and understand engineered prints and manufacturing routers . Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills from work instructions, including work and tool offsets .
Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to print specifications, using micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc .
Make Tool offset adjustments as necessary to fix out of tolerance conditions. . Keep work area, machines, and tooling clean .
Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Manager . required skills Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes, Haas CNC mill, and Swiss CNC lathe w / barfeeder.
Read blueprints and measure parts using mics, calipers, depth gages, etc . Read G&M code and do basic edits . Qualifications Must have transportation to and from work .
Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift . Education / experience requiremenTS High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED) minimum.
Skilled training within 2-year program or additional machining courses highly desired. 2 years’ experience with CNC operator / setup.
