JOB PURPOSE: To gain further experience in marketing, event planning, and donor management skills. while earning academic credits for participating in this field experience opportunity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create monthly internal newsletter. Gather staff shout outs, youth success stories, asks for help, and updates from each department.
• Assist with external newsletters.
• Take pictures of youth and staff for marketing.
• Create social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) for each program area, holidays, youth highlights, alumni highlights, and donor spotlights.
• Create and edit Instagram reels.
• Review website and prepare edits.
• Interview youth and alumni. Write two versions of their story, one short for social media and one long for the website.
• Write thank you notes to individual donors.
• Assist with annual Champions of Youth event:
• Upload silent auction items to Charity Auctions Today.
• Create silent auction posters.
• Solicit donations for Pie Pull.
• Create Pie Pull poster.
• Assist with check-in and other tasks at the event.

Requirements

• Completed at least one year of an undergraduate degree
• Communications, marketing, or business major preferred
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
