Head Varsity Track and Field Coach

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is accepting applications for the position of Head Varsity

Track and Field Coach. This is an exceptional opportunity for a coach to build upon the school’s

rich tradition of accomplishment. This position includes coaching for our Coed Indoor and Outdoor

Track and Field Teams. The start of the indoor season is early November and ends in early

February. The outdoor season runs from late February to late May. The ideal candidate will have

effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, earned a college degree and have

successful experience coaching youth, high school, club or college level athletes in Track and Field

and a passion for the sport. This is a stipend position.

Principal duties include:

• Oversees the entire Indoor/ Outdoor Track and Field teams.

• Creating a schedule of meets for the Indoor and Outdoor teams to attend and compete in.

• Hires and selects assistant coaches in conjunction with the athletic administration.

• Plans and develops a budget for the program for approval by the athletic administration.

• Develops and implements a recruiting program to attract student-athletes who will be

successful in the classroom as well as on the track/field.

• Conducts out-of-season programs such as strength conditioning/ summer workouts.

• Ability to interact with student athletes of different ages and skill levels in a positive and

professional manner.
