OTSI is Hiring an Engineering Technician 2 Near Boise, ID
Major Responsibility
Coordinate Equipment Repairs, Calibrations, and Maintenance
Coordinate Entries into Equipment Tracking Interface (ETO)
Oversee EHS and ESD Requirements
Plan and Organize all Equipment Facilitation, Installation, and Layout for thearea
Lab Responsibilities:
Receive and prepare materials for testing
Verify incoming material against tracking system for physical count andaccuracy
Appropriately disposition material in MAM/Asset track/Other
Prepare drives/equipment for testing (load board count/secondary debughardware/drive install)
Perform bench level testing (drive reformatting/FW loads/debug)
Pull debug diagnostics from drive (elog/UART/superdm/panic)
Interpret failure information with QRA and/or Engineering
Isolate failing components (load board, tester, program, device)
Recover functionality of drive after testing
Perform test operation and qualification testing
Pretest the drives to ensure functionality
Gather data on fails and properly document all fails utilizing JIRA.
Help maintain an organized lab.
Communicate with engineers (eng requests, drive fails, QUAL needs, testerissues, software issues/needs, hardware needs)
Basic understanding of dut logs and test flow related to QUAL
Provide suggestions/direction/solutions to engineering on lab operationsprocesses (tester capacity reductions/QUAL start operations/ load board andhardware shortage solutions)
Maintain JIRA support (daily / frequent of check on JIRA's you've filed toensure we comply with requests and that JIRA's are making progress.)
Tester responsibilities:
Basic knowledge of tester hardware and functionality
Understand the functionality of PQEAgent (intermediate HW/SW that supportsreliability testing)
Properly document tester issues in JIRA and ETI
Gather tester debug logs (syslog, TLP, snap files, oven temp logs, system logs)
