We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing sample processing, venipunctures, and exempt screening and monitoring tests in compliance with regulatory standards and Piedmont policies. Additionally, they will provide support to technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sample processing, venipunctures, and obtain/prepare blood specimens following policies and procedures.
• Conduct exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and Georgia Department of Community Health regulations.
• Assist technical staff in non-clinical tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 Years phlebotomy experience in a hospital or blood bank setting
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy techniques
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes
• Experience in performing EKGs
• Previous experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting

Salary:

• Up to $23.00 per hour
• $1.50/hr for weekend differential
• $1.50/hr for weekend differential
