Payroll Clerk-Finance Department

The payroll clerk is responsible for supporting the payroll function of Oswego Health.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality of payroll related information, adhere to organizational security and compliance policies.
• Perform regular payroll processing duties on a biweekly basis.
• Prepare/process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with expense reimbursement policy.
• Verify that any payroll adjustments outside of Kronos have been approved by department manager.
• Reconcile Kronos hours imported to Meditech hours recorded.
• Complete payroll cycle transactions timely and accurately allowing adequate time for review of payroll documentation by management. Once reviewed, scan all documentation into file folders maintained.
• Work collaboratively with staff and become fully cross trained in job responsibilities of payroll administrator.
• Accurately process manual and special checks.
• Maintain tax withholding edits and direct deposit information in the employee master file for all new hires and changes for existing employees.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

2-year degree in accounting and/or 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
