Ossid is excited to add a new Controller to our leadership team. In this role, you'll provide hands-on leadership in the areas of accounting and financial reporting, as well as direct the company’s accounting processes, periodic forecasting, and job costing process. You'll be the strategic partner for the General Manager, with a dotted line to the Business Unit VP of Finance. You'll work side by side with our team at our Battleboro, NC facility.
Do you enjoy this work?

• Direct accounting policies, budget, and job costing process in adherence to Pro Mach guidelines
• Analyze statistical data to assess profitability and operational efficiency
• Coordinate budget preparation and financial forecasts
• Coach and evaluate accounting team members
• Review orders for ASC 606 compliant revenue recognition
• Manage month-end closing tasks and financial reporting
• Maintain fixed asset records and justify capital expenditures
• Conduct job costing analysis for project cost accuracy
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements
• Lead ERP and business information systems maintenance
• Collaborate with departments as financial resource
• Oversee disbursements and A/R invoice processing
• Develop and manage accounting department budget and staffing
• Coordinate payroll processing with corporate team
• Provide leadership to drive profitable growth

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance
• 7 years experience in finance and accounting, strong preference for manufacturing environment
• Strong background in financial analysis
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and provide direction to a team of employees
• Experience with various ERP and software programs (Syteline preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to effectively present information to internal partners
• Demonstrated analytical skills; able to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience to complement data, and design workflows and procedures
• Must be a proven, hands-on team player driven to meet company goals; ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement
